Dear Edie and Family,

It was with surprise that we unexpectedly received a newspaper and read of Bob's obituary.

You both took a special interest in our boys,one in service and one in college at that time, which we have always remembered.

We are thankful for the faithful preaching of God's word by Dr. Bob and the fruits of his labor in love, are still being proclaimed to the next generations.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you this day.

I first met Bob when we both took DMin classes at TEDS. He was a kind friend. We talked several times at Panera Bread at Kenowa and 44th over the succeeding years. He was always an encouragement to me in the ministry. It was good to have someone outside of my church with whom I could discuss matters of practical theology and leading people. I would guess that Bob encouraged and blessed a great number of pastors, younger brothers in the ministry. Thanks for that, Bob.
