In memory of
Graves Lewis
May 26, 2014
A note to ALL of HOT"S (as he was known to all of his Goldsboro High School classmates). I am very sorry to learn of Hot's death.
Due to circumstances beyond my control, I was unable to attend any of the services honoring a good friend and classmate.
I assure you all that you could not have a more sincere and loving Mother and Father than Robert and Frankie.
My love and prayers for you all.
Sincerely,
Graves

My sincere sympathy to the family. It is a blessing Robert lived a long life because there are many people who may never see his age. May Almighty God who provide comfort to us (2 Cor 1:3) be with you during this difficult time of your life.

Bobby, Charlene, Madison & Miller - We are sorry for your loss. It sounds like your father lived his life to the fullest and contributed in so many profound ways to his family, country and community. He certainly lead by example and passed those leadership traits on to you Bobby! You are all in our prayers and we are here to support you with love.

I did not know nor have ever met Mr. Heyward, Sr. However, knowing his son, "Bobby" for many years, I can honestly thank Mr. Heyward, not only for the brave service to his Country during a time of war, but for also raising proud, productive citizens. His living examples of a decent and worthwhile life were certainly the seeds by which his legacy is characterized- those of his children. R.I.P. Mr. Heyward.

Mr. Heyward and I were in the same commencement line at U of L having earned the same degree. He was a very nice man.

I always enjoyed seeing Bobby when he visited my dad, Bailey Williamson, who was related to him through the Mials. He was just fun to be around. He and Frankie came to my wedding back in 1993 and I last talked to him a couple of years ago when he called to ask how my mother, Sarah Williamson, was doing. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.

Uncle Bobby, you were always my favorite uncle. I will always remember all the fun times we had. I'm sad to know you are gone, but glad that you are reunited with Frankie and at peace.

Mr. Heyward was my first "big boss" at B & W --never knew of his life accomplishments prior to B & W--amazing but not surprising as he took every thing in stride---never forget that smile--never forgot him
