Robert Holland Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 6, 2024.
It is with love and great sadness that the family of Robert Lowell Holland, age 72, announces his passing from this life on November 4, 2024. He died peacefully at home surrounded by family after a courageously fought lengthy illness.

He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Bob is survived by his wife Teresa (Campbell) Holland whom he wed on January 6, 1973. He was the proud father of Robert C. (Laura) Holland and Matthew T. (Rebecca) Holland and a loving grandfather to Lauren, Cheyenne, and Nicholas Holland.

He was born in Oklahoma City, Ok., the oldest child of Roy G. & Gwen (Houx) Holland. They preceded him in death. He is survived by siblings: Christi Crain, Glendale, Az., Teresa Perazzo, Indianapolis, In., and Anthony (Jennifer) Holland, Fishers, In.

He was a graduate of Indiana University graduating With Distinction. He retired from Power Train after many years as a Purchasing Agent. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and the Grand Canyon Hiking & Backpackers Association.

He lived life fully and especially liked to cheer for the Oklahoma Sooners Football Team, backpack & hike in the Grand Canyon National Park, collect sports cards with his sons and grandson, and work in his yard, especially in his wildflower garden. He and his wife liked to travel. He often sneaked in "surprise destinations" along the way. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

He is forever loved and will be greatly missed by his loving family, extended family, and many friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 10:30 am until Memorial service at 12:30pm at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Greenfield, In. Private inurnment will immediately follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to his charity of choice, Grand Canyon Conservancy www. grandcanyon.org
