I worked with Bob when I initially started at the IRS. I was the new kid, and he, the 'old timer'. He prvided me with meny insights on the Organization and was a mentor in Union work as well. I will miss him and our occasional chats as we traveled throught the skywalk.

As Bob's former pastor my wife and I are deeply shocked and saddened by his sudden passing. I pray that the message of Christmas, that Jesus was born so that he might defeat death and allow us all to live forever in glory will comfort the Hulke family during this extremely challenging time in their lives. Our thoughts and our prayers are with you.

What a shock!!! All the years that we worked together was sure some fond memories. I still remember a very early office party at the bosses house (Jim Meyer) when we played some touch football. Bobbie was on the opposing team - thru his sticks to the sidelines - and said, Let's play! I am sure he will be missed by all who knew him. Our prayers are with the family.

Bob was always on the go and very up-beat in his manner. He kept me smiling. I missed him when he retired.

I knew Bob well. What one may not know about Bob was that he was a man of the absolute highest integrity. He loved his family, as evidenced by family pictures he had all over in his office. I loved this man. When I heard of this passing, I sat in shock and reflection for several minutes. I would visit or talk to Bob about once a week. I loved hearing his analysis and/or his point of view on all sort of subjects. When I wanted an outside opinion, I knew Bob would provide it to me and not tell the world about it. I consider myself to have been fortunate to have known Bob well. I can still hear him giving me his thoughts, and I believe this man will continue to advise me in the future from what he taught me in life. Finally though, as a friend of Bob's, I can tell everyone that he considered life's most special gift to have been his family. If I would ask about his family, he would beam and tell me one by one how wonderful they were. To Bob, every person in his family was perfect. Thank you for sharing your husband and Dad with me. He was a special one of life's gifts to me. I can still hear his voice, and I will hear it for the rest of my life. Doug Hildreth
