My dearest son, it has been a year and the pain is still the same as it was the day you left me. I don't think I will ever get over it until we are together again. That may not be long as I am over 82. My love always, MOM

Well, it's been 3 months now and feels like a year. We miss you so much. We missed you at Lauren's 4th Birthday but could feel you there. She is finally realizing you are not coming back. She doesn't wave to your apartment any more and say "Hi, Grandpa Bob!" instead she says, "Is Grandpa talking to God right now?" She lost a balloon the other day and said that's okay, Granpa Bob can play with it now. Vanessa knows you are in good hands and speaks of it often. She says she is so glad you are with Grandma Myrt, Aunt Myrt and Uncle Jack. The garden we planted in your memory is so beautiful. The red flowers just popped over night, it is so gorgeous. I'm sure you would tell me what kind of flowers they are if you were here.
Becky's babe is almost here - a boy just like you wished!! It's just a matter of days. Of course the middle name will be Robert in your honor and he will know more than he ever wanted to know about you when he is able to understand! I have days that I think you are still here, picking up the phone just to call for advice. I MISS YOU!!! I'm sure you have your hands full in heaven!
WE LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU SO MUCH!!!

Hi Daddy,
It is starting out to be a tough week. It is starting to sink for the girls. Where is Grandpa Bob for dinner, where are my lollipops and cookies, When we drove by your place this weekens all I hears was lets stop and see Grandpa. They are too young too understand that you are gone. We miss you so much we don't know what to do, I have picked up the phone countless times to call and to realize I can't tell you the good show on tonight or ask you what to plant this Spring. But I do thank you for coming to me in my dreams. If my dreams are true you are in utter uphoria. Saturday night when you showed where you were I laid in bed until 10 just hoping to get back to sleep and see it again. I know you are at peace we just miss you A LOT!!!
Love,
Your Baby Girl

I only met Bobby once at our Uncle Jack's funeral and I am sorry that this is the only other contact to have with this side of my family. However, do know that you are in my thoughts and that I send my condolences.

I miss you Daddy. Every day I wake up in disbelief that your really gone. To me, you were such a handsome, wise, caring, fun, generous, honest, loving man whom I thought was truly invincible. Thank you for giving Sharon and I your time to teach us lessons we will never forget. We know you were proud of us and and you would always say "I raised you girls right." A piece of you will live on with us on earth until we meet again. So instead of saying good bye I will say until then.....
I love you so much Dad!

We loved you very much, Bobby, still do and will forever. We will miss the many good times we had together through the years by way of conversations/phone calls, get-to-gethers, partying and mini-trips. You were a special guy and our memories of you are treasures we will cherish forever. Lovingly, Bro-Frank and Auntie Barb

Growing up I had older cousins and younger cousins. Bobby was my older cousin along with Lynne and Janis. I am sure over the years he didn't appreciate being called Bobby, but that was who he was to me. My older cousin Bobby from Minneapolis, and when they came to vist us in Redmond it was fun. LIke Leanne said, Vietnam was part of Bobby's life and our memories. I remember my Dad( Uncle Bud) wanting to send something special in boxes while Bobby served as a Marine. We always wanted the treats, but my Dad was always adamant about the box going full to Bobby. I am so sorry Bobby's dance on this earth was shortened. He always had a smile for everyone and he will be missed by his family and friends. I had no idea he loved malt balls. I've loved malt balls my whole life and always wondered why?

I have so many memories of Bob through the years. Speaking of malted milk balls,Bob was the only person I ever saw toss them up and catch them in his mouth, at about age 9 this really impressed me. I also remember writing to him while he was in Vietnam, and sending care packages of cookies. I truly believe in the end he gave his life for his country, and for this I am especially proud to call him my brother. I will miss him greatly, but I am so glad that he is at peace with the universe now. My prayers go out to Jeanne, Lynne,David, Debi, Becky, Sharon, and Robbie.

When I look at my wedding pictures in 1950, there was Bobby, about 5 years old. I am glad that he was at the Ingersoll picnic with his son in summer of 2005. My sympathy to his daughters, Becky and Sharon.

Always so full of life. One just wanted to be in the same room with him and just watch and listen to him talk and laugh. Made family get togethers so much fun. I watched him be a good son, a good brother, and a good friend he will be missed by many and remembered well.

A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...but, a true friend will
be sitting next to you saying, "Wow...that was fun!"
I will miss you greatly my "TRUE" friend of so many years. Sleep tight sweet Prince.
