Bob hired me in 1976 to work for Charter Corp. and I was sent to Lexington, his home town. Bob was a true professional and I was proud to have known him. we lived across the street from his mother. He was "The Man".

He was the best father in law anyone could ever have. I had the honor of knowing him for 11 years. The first time I met him he gave me a great big hug. I will miss him very much.

Susan Jackson, wife of Kenneth Jackson, Robert's oldest son.

I worked with Bob at First National Bank of Kansas City where I started my banking career as college student in 1965 working part-time and then in the bank's officer training program to become a Vice President in Commercial Loans before leaving FNBKC in 1981.

Bob was a true gentlemen and extremely polite to the staff in a most friendly manner. He carried his tall frame with erect bearing always with a smile. Though he was mostly involved with the holding company, he came frequently to join the bank's loan committee and business development meetings where his soft spoken comments were always to the point. He was the epitome of a First National executive and a role model for the younger officers in his deportment.

As other FNB of KC officers passed on to their glory, Bob attended many memorial services where I saw him from time to time where his memories and warm smile highlighted our conversations.

May God wrap His loving arms around the Jackson family as they recall Bob's love for them and his life well lived as a true gentleman.
