New Albany, IN - "One of the good guys passed away today."

Robert "Parker" Keach, born October 16, 1936, in New Albany at St Edward's Hospital on Spring Street, next to St Mary's Church passed away Thursday. He was a journeyman meat-cutter for A& P Markets for 25 years and retired from the City of New Albany as a storm sewer inspector in 2001.

Parker is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pauline "Polly" Keach; daughters - Melissa Johnston (Mike), Natalie Butti (Matt); step-daughters - Paige Patterson-Grant (Doug), Pamla Willhite (Jeff), Parri Darnell (Rob); 15 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren plus one on the way! He also survived by his sisters - Elva Swift and Gayle Owen (Lynn). He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles Erwin and Mary Elizabeth Keach; brother, George "Buddy" Keach and sister, Mary Helen Baker.

A memorial visitation will be held at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral Homes on Tuesday, April 27th, 2 - 6 pm with a service to follow at 6 pm. He will be buried at Graceland Memorial Park.

The family requests that any donations made in Robert's name be forwarded to the American Cancer Society.
