WAREHAM — Robert R. LeBlanc, 62, of Fairhaven, died Tuesday, June 2, 2009, after a long battle with cancer at Forestview of Wareham. He was the husband of Gail I. (Lawson) LeBlanc.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Rita (Menard) LeBlanc of Fairhaven and the late Roger LeBlanc, he grew up in the city and was a graduate of New Bedford Vocational High School. He later lived in Dartmouth before settling in Fairhaven 10 years ago.

Mr. LeBlanc attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and later worked as a sales representative for Terminex.

He enjoyed boating, golfing and traveling to his home in Venice, Florida. Mr. LeBlanc also loved seafood, especially lobster.

He is survived by his mother and wife; a daughter, Lisa Roy and her husband John of Acushnet; two stepdaughters, Michelle Poirier and her husband William of Marion and Tracey Dennison and her husband Allen of Mattapoisett; two brothers, Norman and Marc LeBlanc both of Fairhaven; two sisters, Elaine Mullin of Acushnet and Jean Poirier of Reddington Beach, FL; eight grandchildren, Hailey, Connor and Jack Roy, Graham, Lily Pearl and Daphne Poirier and Blake and Cole Dennison; and several nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Calling hours are Thursday from 5-8 PM in the Fairhaven Funeral Home, 117 Main Street, Fairhaven. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 11:00 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Fairhaven. Cremation will follow and interment will be private.
