Robert Scott Lind

Robert Scott Lind, age 73, passed away on October 2, 2024 after a courageous 2-year battle with cancer. He was born to James and Jean Lind in 1951 in Maryland where his dad was stationed in the Army. Bob is survived by his wife Shuhua (Amy); step daughter, Candy; daughter, Maile Lind (partner, Crystal); son Michael Reef; Mother, Jean Lind; Sisters, Barbara Delery (husband, Lou) Judy Brown (husband Steve); and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Bob graduated from Mt. Diablo HS and briefly attended college before he joined the Navy. He was stationed in Hawaii as a dental tech during the Vietnam war.

Bob lived In Pittsburg, Ca, and, enjoying the water, lived on his boat for many years. He eventually settled in Walnut Grove, CA to be a land lover. He enjoyed his house (almost as much as his boat), fixing up the yard and meeting his wonderful neighbors he soon called friends.

Bob will forever love his Bertrum boat and used many excuses to be on it as he loved being on the water. He also tinkered on his father's '64 Chevy pick-up and his tractor with its many attachments. Friends and family would usually find Bob in his beloved garage.

Amongst family and friends, Bob will be remembered as quick to tell jokes, willing to lend a hand, imbibing in political discussions and being a kind soul. His presence is deeply missed.
