A lovely man who will be missed by many

January 5, 2020

So sorry to hear the very sad news of dear Robin, our accountant and truly valued friend, particularly of my beloved late husband, Lachlan Mackintosh with whom he had been a kindred spirit for years.
Robin's strength, determination and zest for life was truly remarkable and no matter what was thrown at him, he always picked himself up, dusted off the negativities and kept soldiering on, even on his motorbikes!
His proffesional knowledge in accountancy was exceptional, his expertise was commendable and his advice was always spot on.
I honestly couldn't have managed without him after my dear husband died because Robin kindly took me under his wing, (no doubt, at Lachlan's request!), assisted me through each stage of legalities and had the patience of a saint. I shall be eternally grateful to him and I know that Lachlan would be too - he always told me to go to Robin for guidance because he was completely trustworthy, knew his stuff and that he would have the genuine empathy, to help me through the worst period of my life.
So...... it is with great fondness, respect and admiration on behalf of both of us, that we say a heartfelt thank you for everything you did Robin, especially for the immense support you gave Lachlan while you each so very reluctantly, yet never bitterly, struggled through the horrendous journey of dealing with that worst swear word of all - cancer!
I remember how you both joked (in your usual bravery and lightheartedness!) about who would be first past the finishing line! and I suppose, looking on the optimistic side, as you always somehow managed to do, at least Lachlan is already there, waiting to welcome you, before you each energetically jump on to your motorbikes once more, rev up the engines (very loudly!) and race off (with no speed cameras in sight!), on your forever pain free new adventure together. Ride on...... XX
