Robert Ludwig Obituary
Bob Ludwig, 81, of Bothell, WA, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2017. He was born on November 26, 1935 in Salt Lake City, Utah, the son of the late Leslie and Leilah Ludwig. Bob married Betty Lou Toth on February 18, 1961. She preceded him in death on December 21, 2010. After graduating from Sunnyside High School, Bob eventually received two music degrees from Washington State University. Bob was a distinguished band director in the Northshore School District for 30 years having taught at both the Anderson School and Canyon Park Junior High.
Bob is survived by his daughter, Janie McDavid, son-in-law Brad, and his grandson, Skylar, who was his pride and joy.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 21, at 3PM at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 19215 88th Ave. NE, Bothell, 98011. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the WMEA "Young Musicians Excelling" program at WMEA.org.

I remember Bob Ludwig when I went to Canyon Park Junior High and he was the music teacher there. We were a bunch of rowdy, angsty junior high students and then Bob came strode into the room with that big smile, his conductors baton and that little bounce to his stwp.
The first thing we studies was the Music Man. And from thereafter Mr. Ludwig totally symobolized The Music Man. He conveyed a love of music and what it mean, and he put up with all the rambunctiousness of that class. I am glad to say that one day, years later, I was driving by his house and saw him getting out of his car and stopped to tell him Thank You, for being such a great teacher. Im a teacher myself these days and like to think that the magic that Bob Ludwig had as a teacher rubbed off on me. You are missed and remembered Bob Ludwig.
