Robert, my brother, my friend. It all began in 2005 with a simple hand shake and the words "we're glad your here". That was day 1 of the newly minted MFD TEMS Team joint program with MPD TEU. From that day forward, we were kindred spirits. Both of us provided years of service to nation, city, friends and family. We also shared similar philosophies and visions. I love that you lived your life as you spoke. There was nothing phoney about you. When you retired, I was jealous and could'nt wait to do the same. We had a lot of plans and had only began to execute. But, sadly, it wasn't meant to be. The Lord God Almighty, being the purveyor of all plans, has different ones for you. And who are we to argue with God. I will forever miss our time together. I guess that in the end, there wasn't ever going to be enough morning coffee conversations, live fire range times, or fireside-brandy drinkin'-cigar smokin'-"smack talkin" evenings that we could get our fill of. I pray that God Almighty will fill your soul with ever lasting life and give your family all of the support, grace and comfort that they deserve. Good speed Robert, my brother, my friend. We'll see you down range.

Thank you Bob for your friendship, for the help you've given us and for being there since my husband passed away. Your visits to check on me and Jess, to make us feel safe and secure in the house, have always been appreciated more than you could have known. You're crazy sense of humor and friendship will be greatly missed. Blessings to your family.

Bob was the neighbor who "took care" of the neighborhood and knew everyone in it. He was always offering to lend a hand with some home project or cracking a joke as he stopped to talk and check-in. Gone too soon, Bob. Thinking of you Julie and Sean.
