So sorry to hear of Bobby passing
I grew up 2 houses away from Bobby and a best friend of his nephew Steven Ronci
I remember always hearing rock n roll music coming from Bobby´s second floor window when going by his house
He also would have us watch Godzilla movies and the Saturday Creature Features
In that regard he had a major influence in my life as I love Rock n roll, monster movies and did I mention collections of all kinds

Sorry for your loss John and family. You did such a great job on the Memorial writeup and photos (some of which I saved) that I feel like I know him versus know of him. The kind of guy I would have loved to have met! I am so thankful that through Jesus there is a promise that transcends the grave! Because of Him, good times can still be had.

Uncle Bob, so many great memories, also the bad memory of when I use the swear word in front of Grandma, and you ran down the stairs so fast I ran out of the house but you caught me anyway. But thank you for not kicking my butt and just dragging me in the house and saying I'm sorry

1 month before Unk passed - I found and cleaned one of Unk's old hats, he was having a rough night so I put it on him. I said "do you know what I just put on your head"? He said "what, my old hat?"
For decades those "Uncle Bob" hats were security blankets to him.
I think I was 10 when I actually first saw him with no hat on, one time when I snuck downstairs while my Dad was cutting his hair!
In his old age, he wore a beanie at night because he was always cold.
I was glad he got to put on one of the surviving old faithful "Uncle Bob" hats of yesterday for one last time.

Years back...

Unk comes home from Vietnam and meets the man his sister had been writing him about. He always told me in my mom's letter when they first met, she wroye Unk to tell him "Bobby, I met a wonderful man, I can't wait until you meet him"!
When Unk got back from Vietnam at the airport, my Dad (that man mom had been writing about) made a big colorful sign (in true Roy fashion) that said "WELCOME HOME BOBBY"!
After my Mom married Dad, Uncle Bob and my father were very close throughout Dad's entire life. Uncle Bob didn't get too close, and have alot of trust and comfort with his personal space with alot of people, but him and my Dad Roy (Romeo) just always clicked and had an incredible close bond.
No matter what it was, if you were a kid in our house and something you got for Christmas or your birthday needing putting together, you'd find Roy & Uncle Bob in the backyard together trying to make sense out of it all.
Ang would say "oh, you'll have to wait until Uncle Bob gets here to put it together, Roy get it ready and WAIT FOR BOBBY!" =D <3
Dad (a hairdresser/barber) cut Unks hair from the return home from Vietnam, until Dad's Dementia stopped him from doing it anymore some 40+ years later. So for years and years I've done it for Unk ever since. Except for Sgt. Rusty's haircuts, I am now officially a retired barber! =D

I miss your sense of humor and thoughtfulness already. Swedish meatballs! Couscous! We bonded right away over The Beach Boys, and I know there'll be good music playing wherever you are. I appreciate how you always asked about, & showed genuine interest in, all of my animals - from "Coco & Blackie" to Cyrus, the snails & shrimp! Don't worry, your little lamb, Princess, is in good hands with Diana and we'll be visiting her, though I know she's going to miss her shepherd so much. Thanks for being so easy to love. You'll never be forgotten. Love you Unk! ~ Crystal,

When we would visit, Paisley Ellie and I would go on the porch and pour seeds on the fence so Uncle Bob could see the birds, squirrels, and other friends that visited. I remember seeing a gorgeous red cardinal once. He was funny and kind. Princess was always right there with him and listened to him very well, they had a very sweet bond. He loved her very much and she loved him just the same. He was a great man. Lots of love. Rest in peace.
