Robert R. May Sr.

Bobby will always be remembered for how generous and caring he was. I know I am still missing the guy. One of the best friends to have growing up. Many great memories.

Today is April 29 and I am in shock of this news, I have known him 40 plus years. This was one of the nicest awesome trustworthy people ever. I had trucks and cars and he was my guy, I trusted him implicitly.
I have lived in NYC for 18 years. I would call him intermittently to catch up on life and family, Doris , Stephen and Bobby I am so sorry for your loss.

So sad to hear the news just today from my father in law who gets his vehicle serviced at May's. I was fortunate to know Bobby through my dad as they worked together at Hallsmith. Soon after Bobby opened the yard up and it was my favorite place to go. Even though i haven't seen him in many years i have many fond memories of Bobby and Doris. Sincere condolences to all of the family and May he now RIP.

I came home at 5:00 and Rick told me about his day ... we were customers .. not family , not close friends ; it says a lot about a man when two people can shed a few tears for someone who is only known to them as a guy who fixes your car when u got a problem!! If there is one thing that I would have to say it would be that Bobby was always there to help out; he was a friend. Late teens when we hung together all the time he was a tough guy with a big heart. Bob and I became instant friends when we were part of a group that started the business association in West Bridgewater. Bob was 'extreme' before it became a popular theme. His shop wasn't just clean, it was extremely clean. He was like a preacher when he talked about tires, He would talk about the goodness that tires represented and how your car/truck would be extremely better with new tires bought at May's and you'd swear that he was right.
Parties at Doris and Bob's home were extremely great and he would make sure he talked to everyone. He could talk, but he was extremely enlightening and I loved listening to him and his laugh was so infectious.
Doris, Bobby and Steven, I'm so sorry for your loss, but know that we are all enriched for knowing him.

OMG. To the entire May Family. The news of Bobbys passing cuts deep into our hearts. I first met Bob back in the 70s at SYSCO. His personality and demeanor, put a smile on the faces of everyone that came into contact with him. I knew from the first time I met Bob, he would be a successful in whatever he did.

Bob, you have always been known as the man with the vice grip handshake. I will add, it was the bear like hug I will always remember. I give you, the credit for creating the MAN HUG.
