My deepest sympathies to the Melnyk family. Bob and I became friends at Union High School in Burgettstown. He was a couple of years ahead of me, and lived in Francis Mine. I was from Langeloth. We played baseball on the H.S. team and also played against each other in Junior American Legion baseball. He was a pretty good pitcher. Aside from that, though, Bob was a great guy: Honest, decent, fun to be with, and a family man. May his soul rest in peace and his memory be eternal.
