I am one of Sam's many Illinois cousins. Although I didn't get to see him often, he was very special to me and he will always have a special place in my heart. We were all lucky to have him and his kids visit two years ago on Memorial Day weekend (an annual family event). Memories of him with his children will always be my most treasured memories. His passing was much too early. He will be greatly missed by anyone who ever knew him.

Sam was a kind and gentle man. He was a true friend-he gave me strength and courage when I had none. His spirit will never leave us-he's the sun, the moon, and the stars. God took him to heaven on a rainbow of our tears. I'll always pray for you, Sam. I'm a better person for having known you.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all of your family Sam but especially to your children. We shared so much during nursing school and you have been a wonderful friend to me. I will miss you so much. I wish I could have been in town to wish you goodbye. Vicki Wissinger and I went to dinner last night and talked about you and all the fun we have had. We want your kids to know you were a kind and gentle man with this wonderful sense of humor as large as the world. No matter how infrequently we were able to talk or see you it was always as if you had been with us the day before. If your kids would like copies of some of my pictures of you please call 8179374503. Go with God Sam and wait for us to join you.

I have known Sam since 1981, as a young CRNA at Huguley. He was a kind and sweet person, who lit up a room when he walked in. I have seen him throughout the years, and he never changed. I will miss Sam, and can't believe he is gone. My condolences to his family and many friends.

Sam Menefeee is the son of Marge Menefee, my dearest friend. He was a wonderful son. I remember the beautiful yellow roses he remembered his Mother with on Mother's day and her birthday. She was his yellow rose of Texas and I wish her great pleasure in her memories.

Sam was a great friend and an excellent nurse anesthetist. He always had a kind and uplifting thing to say and it brightened my day just to see him. I will sorely miss him.
