Ive had many many pleasant times with Rob. We shared hiking , backpacking , fishing and family get togethers over the years. It was so nice to spend time with Rob and Barb in Wyoming last month. It brought back many happy memories. My condolences to Barb and the entire Michiels clan. Rob was a great guy and I will miss him dearly.

Most of my memories with the Michiel's family took place growing up. Robert's mom Aunt Jean and my mom Geri Ovyn were sisters and we spent our childhood playing and having fun. The families were always together. He was the baby and I was already 12 when he was born. I remember we had to take turns holding him, he was very special to us. It's hard to understand why people are taken from us so young. I am so sorry for your loss Barb & the Michiel's family.

I have so many memories of Robert. I feel blessed that we are cousins. Over the past several years, Rob became closer with Tom and I and called and visited when he could. Tom and Rob enjoyed spending time together learning about wildlife/nature and becoming an expert Steward of the land. We will miss him terribly. Our heartfelt love and prayers to Barb as our entire Michiels' clan grieves his passing.

Robbie will be missed. His knowledge of plant life and which tree was which amazed us. We will miss his walks around our timber. Another good guy taken to soon from us. Prayers to Barb and the family.

Robbie was always so kind to everyone around him. He was so quiet, but could make you laugh with his witty humor. We always had fun, riding and camping out; back in the day with our circle of friends. It's been a long time since I've seen him or Barb. He was always talked about very fondly in conversations with my kids. So sorry for this tragic loss. My prayers to family, friends and loved ones suffering. He will be dearly missed.

Robert was the first baby I remember ever meeting. Shortly after he was born my mom and I went to see him but he was sleeping in Aunt Genes room, so we tiptoed in to sneak a peek. He was the most beautiful baby! I remember being very excited (loud?) and was reminded not to wake him as I was shown the cute little doorknob hangar that said, Shhh babys asleep!
Another fond memory was during my Confirmation party. My mom had the cake on the dining room table and Robert, who was around 2, climbed up on one of the chairs to take a peek and a finger swipe of sweetness. He was as sweet as that cake!
Our deepest sympathy, with love and peace to all who loved him. May your fond memories bring you comfort, now and always.

So sorry to hear about Berts passing, he was way too young. I have many great memories and photos of both Bert & Barb from the good old days back in Lombard/Villa Park riding our Harleys and partying with all our old friends. I truly believe that wh God gives us a birth date he also gives us a return date. I look forward to seeing you and riding together again in heaven! So sorry Barb!

Rob was truly one of the good ones. You will be sorely missed my Brother. I'm sure our paths will cross again. Till then
