It is with great sadness that the family of Robert (Bob) Murdock announces his passing peacefully on Wednesday. Bob was one of eight children born to George and Anne Murdock in Biggar, SK. Bob married Lillian Boechler of Allan, SK and together they raised five children. They would have celebrated their 65th anniversary weeks after her passing in 2011. Bob served in the Navy aboard Corvette class convoy escorts during WWII. Later, he was a successful realtor. He was President of the Saskatoon Real Estate Board and served as a director for a number of years. For many years he owned Murdock & Maber Agencies and later, Murdock Realty. For the majority of his real estate career, Bob specialized in large farming operations. He was a gracious and friendly man who developed countless longstanding relationships with clients bridging most of the communities in rural Saskatchewan. He loved fishing and spent many hours on northern lakes. Bob had great sense of humour and always maintained a positive outlook. Both parents will be remembered by their children, Jim (Angelika), Cheryl Robinson (Rob), Greg (Linda Planadin), Cam (Shelly Panchuk) and Dale, as well as their seven grandchildren, one great grandchild, and their surviving extended family. Bob passed away quietly under the superb care of the ICU at St. Paul's hospital. His final gift was facing his death with dignity, courage, quietude, and gentle humour.
