My father, D.L. Arey M.D. always spoke highly of Dr. Musgrave and his skill as an orthopedic surgeon. Very few doctors from this period still alive. With the passing of Bob, there is one less. Donald L. Arey Jr. M.D. Winter Haven, Florida

Dear Carol and Lynn.....I did not hear this sad news until this morning (4/20/13). We Updikes send our heartfelt condolences. Your dad was a fine person, always had a soft smile, always cordial and a pleasure to be around. The memories go back to Grove Park when we were small kids and later Dan's Hill/Birnam Wood on into the later years. I remember going to Smith Mountain Lake to the Musgrave and Dudley cabins (well before SML hit the development years). Please give our condolences to Vicki and know that we are thinking about you. Take care.

Love,
John

Dr. Musgrave and my father, Mike Barrineau fished often together. There where many dinner parties, but one stands out. I insisted that Dr. Musgrave come outside and help a bird I had found with a broken wing. Being the fine person that he was, he helped me out and a few weeks later the bird flew away. I remember his smile most of all, he seemed to smile always. He has left a positive mark on this earth. My prayers are with you at this time.

I remember Dr. Musgrave as being so nice, patient, and concerned about your "bone hurting" problems. Pat G. Martin
