Robert Newcomb Obituary
GULFPORT, FL - NEWCOMB, ROBERT B., 84, of Gulfport passed away May 4, 2020. Robert "Bob" settled in Gulfport, Florida from Auburn, Massachusetts with his beloved wife Beverly in 2006. Bob loved socializing with family and friends, sports and supporting the local communities where he lived. Bob is survived by his wife, Beverly of Gulfport, Florida; daughter Meg (Michael) Parulis of Niantic, CT; daughter Susan (William) Bois of Auburn, MA; daughter Laura (Matthew) Briggs of Gulfport, FL; son Andrew (Christine) Newcomb of Amherst, MA; ten grandchildren and five great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Bob's name to The Gulfport Senior Center Foundation.

My relationship with Bob goes back to Newton High School in the good ole 50s. Never did I know then that he would marry my dearest friend, Bev. Bob was full of life ... full of ideas ... and not afraid to work hard for a good cause. Well done, Bob. You made a difference!

So sorry to learn of Bob's passing. He was the best boss I ever had. Working with him at the Chamber of Commerce was great. Without Bob, we would not have commuter rail service from Worcester to Boston, many companies would not have expanded or moved into this area employing hundreds of people. May God Bless your family.

Bob served the town of Auburn in many capacities with a passion for civic duty. He was a successful businessman. He encouraged his staff to be their best.
