Robert "Bobby" L. Nieves, age 65, of Pickerington, passed away Monday, May 14, 2018 at Kobacker House. Born August 26, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY. He attended John Jay University and served as an MP in the U.S. Army. He became an avid OSU fan and was co-owner/operator of Standard Prototyping Ideals. He was always thankful for his business partnerships and devoted employees. He worked hard and played hard. His passion for racquetball and tennis earned him many good friends. He married the love of his life, Vicki, 26 years ago. He became step-father and eventually grandfather, a role he dearly loved. He is survived by his beloved wife, Vicki; step-children, Melissa (Matt) Palmisciano, Grandview, Ryan (Teara) Dunlap, Pickerington; grandchildren, Anthony and Carmen Dunlap, Madeline, Abigail and Giovanni Palmisciano; brother-in-law, Steve Zahorujko; loving family, mother, Carmen Nieves; brothers, Daniel Nieves, Jr., and Henry Nieves; sisters, Millie (Phil Fortunato) Pacheco, Evelyn Fabucci, and Melissa Fabucci; niece, Denae (Max) Ocampo; great-niece, Anaya; and other nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father Daniel Nieves, Sr. His family wishes to thank his many physicians, especially Dr. Sharp, Dr. Yin, Dr. Sohn, and Dr. Rai, his nurses and caregivers at The James; Liz Hansen at the VA; the entire staff at Kobacker House, especially his angel Trisha. Friends may visit 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 550 Hill Road N., Pickerington. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am Friday at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1061 Waggoner Road, Reynoldsburg, with the Rev. Msgr. David Funk, Celebrant. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
