Dear Eileen,

I have such vivid memories of Bob from our earliest days with MRS. He was such a unique and intelligent man, with a quick wit and admirable tenacity. In a business world where we meet so many people, he stood out and will always stand out. I am devastated at your sudden loss, and have you and the family he cherished so much in my thoughts.

Haley,
I'm so sorry to hear what had happened. Your dad was a great guy. When we were little, he would do everthing for us. He was so sweet. My family is shocked. So lease accept our deepest sympathy. He'll never be forgotten. He is in a better place.

Bob was a smart, friendly, and gentle man. It was a pleasure to work with him on any project, and I especially enjoyed all of our spontaneous discussions in the hallway or office kitchenette -- musings about everything from food to grammar to book publishing to travel. He was a Renaissance man! It is a hard loss to believe is real, and not one any of us want to accept, and my heart goes out to his family and friends.

Bob was an amazing human being. His untimely departure is a great loss to us all. He taught me many things as his employee, but I learned more from his friendship and keen sense of humor. I will never forget him. His family and friends have my deepest sympathy.

Eileen, Haley, friends, and family,
I will always remember Bob leading a group of MRS staff members around Chinatown in San Francisco looking for his 4th or 5th meal, ideally something he has never eaten before. He had a spirit of adventure, an inquisitive nature, a quirky sense of humor that brightened the moment for those who paid attention, plus those tastefully colorful ties that reflected his soul. May the special moments linger and bring comfort always.

Eileen and family,

I am shocked and saddened to hear this news. Words fail at times like this.

My favorite memory of Bob was when this flourescent bulb high above my desk started to burn out. For about a month I worked under a strobe light and went home every day with a migrane. MRS did not own a ladder tall enough to get to the offending light bulb. No one was willing to do anything about it, but when Bob found out he grabbed a rickety A-frame ladder. Somehow he ballanced himself by standing on the "this is not a step" top step of the ladder and the top of my cubicle wall! I got dizzy just watching him but he calmly took the light fixture apart and unscrewed the bulb. He was my personal hero for the rest of my time at MRS.

Dear Eileen:

This is indeed a tremendous loss. Bob was the one who first hired me into MRS several years ago. He even took me around locally around this area to look for a place to live, and also showed me the new MRS building that was being built at that time. I remember him saying that a sense of humor is what keeps him going through the day, and he certainly practiced this to the fullest.

Our deepest sympathies to you, Haley and the others in the family.

Dear Eileen and Haley,

It was shocking and much more saddening to hear the news about Bob. Bob and I worked together at Highmark and he was a very dear friend of mine. He always talked about both of you and how much he loved you. He was very proud of you Haley. I hope god gives you both the strength and courage to get through this tough period. My thoughts and prayers are always with you. Please give me a call if you need anything.

Dear Eileen and Haley,
We are very sorry and shocked to hear of Bob's passing. We will always remember him for his wry sense of humor and for the joy that he brought to your lives -- he clearly loved both of you very, very much. We feel fortunate to have known him, if only for a very short time.
Please know that we will always be here to support you. Love, Denise & Dave

I'll never forget the first time I met Bob. Three of my co-workers sat down to interview him for a contracting position at Highmark. Even under such a stressful situation Bob was cool, calm and collected. (I think that was his middle name!) We immediately wanted to hire him. Of course we had to make our recommendation to the boss and we were lucky enough to work with Bob from then on. Bob was a wonderful person to work with and to call a friend. I can't believe he's gone. He will never be forgotten.

Dear Eileen and Haley,

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Bob’s untimely passing. All day today I couldn’t stop thinking about him—I just can’t believe he’s gone.

I have fond memories of Bob. Bob was instrumental in getting me hired at MRS, back in 2001 when I had just moved to Pittsburgh. I truly enjoyed being a part of the MRS family. I am so thankful to him for his help.

In my memory of Bob, I always remember him as a handsome, nice man with a great sense of humor. I remember him as a hardworking and responsible person, and as a good and attentive father to Haley. I was impressed with his poise when giving presentations or running meetings. As my boss, he always treated me with great respect and had confidence in me, for which I am thankful.

I was really touched that even after he left MRS he remembered me, sending me a congratulatory email when I had my son, for example.

I have great sympathy for you two in this time of loss. My best wishes to you both. Bob was an unforgettable person and I will remember him fondly. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help.

Sincerely,

Sue Felton

Sincerely,

Dear Ms. Novak and Haley, I cannot be more shocked or sad today. Bob was someone that came to my aid in the very early stages of our fight here in Robinson and Montour School District, he was a bright articulate and very decent man. We are lessened by his loss but absolutely strengthened for having known him. My heart goes out to you both and if there is anything I can do please just ask. God Bless.

Eileen and Haley please accept my deepest sympathy. I left MRS 10 years ago so you wouldn't know me. I loved Bob, he reminded me so much of my son. We laughed and joked together all the time. He came to my desk when he was hungry or wanted candy. He was a great guy and will be missed by everyone who knew him.

Words cannot even begin to express my sorrow for your loss. Bob and I met 16 years ago at MBA School only to end up working together years later at MRS. Eileen,
Mike and I are unable to find words or to try and make sense of this profound loss. Know that you remain in our thoughts and prayers. I first met Bob and Haley sitting at a picnic table at MRS years ago. He went out of his way to befriend me and include me. Who was this good looking, funny guy who was devoted to his little girl? I was happy years later to learn that you two were together. This is a difficult time for you but I know that Bob will always be with you in the memories of your time together that was much too short.
