Robert R. Nowicki, 69, of Hamden, died peacefully at home with his family by his side on Saturday, November 26, 2022. He was the loving husband of Paula L. (Harrington) Nowicki.
Robert was born September 15, 1953, a son of the late Robert P. and Patricia (Vogt) Nowicki. He was drafted into the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War where he was a Ranger and a Sniper. After his tour, Robert enlisted into the U.S. Air Force and continued his proud service climbing the ranks to Master Staff Sergeant in the Security Forces. He also was an ordained minister with the Universal Life Church and was proud to marry his daughter and her husband. Robert worked at SNET/SBC/AT&T as customer service representative for over 10 years. He had a love for barbecue, smoking meats, the outdoors, travel, live concerts, his pets, and his family. His most proud moment was becoming a grandfather to Makensie.
In addition to his wife Paula, he is survived by his daughters, Candice Wezenski and her husband Eddie, and Chelsea Bernardi; and his granddaughter, Makensie Kelly.
Robert’s family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Thursday, December 1st, from 5 to 7 pm. Inurnment and military honors will take place on Friday, December 2nd at 9 am at the Connecticut State Veterans’ Cemetery Columbarium, Bow Lane Middletown.

I wanted to give my heartfelt condolences for Paula and family, please know Bob was an amazing co worker who always made me laugh , he was very helpful with work duties when I would get stuck he would come to my rescue, he will forever be remembered for his smile and friendliness, prayers for the family and Paula you have gained an angel.
