Robert "Bob" O’Hara

Robert O'Hara, aged 69, of Castaic, CA, passed away on July 11, 2024. Born on July 21, 1954, Bob was known for his wit, humor, intelligence, and loving nature. He leaves behind a legacy as a devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and protector, deeply missed by his family and friends.

Bob graduated from Savannah High School in 1972 and furthered his education at Weber State University. His professional journey as an aerospace engineer was marked by numerous patents, showcasing his brilliance and innovative spirit in the field.

Beyond his professional achievements, Bob was committed to his Christian faith, instilling God's love in his children.
Bob enjoyed college football, sports, picnics, the outdoors, and a good game of poker. He had a lifelong curiosity about how things work, which kept him engaged and continually learning.
In retirement, he took up coding to transform an ABC game he originally developed for his children into an online-accessible version. Bob loved coaching his boy's baseball teams and contributing to local children's sports.

Bob was a beloved father to Brian and his wife Renee, Tina and her husband Mark, Billy and his wife Keri, John and his fiancé Nicole, and Randy O'Hara. He was a cherished grandfather, affectionately known as Gob, proud of his seven grandchildren and eagerly anticipated the arrival of his newest grandchild and sixth great-grandchild.

He leaves behind his siblings Karen Grover, Diane Jones, and Charles O'Hara. Robert was preceded in death by his beloved wife Susan O'Hara, son Tom O'Hara, brother Steve O'Hara, and his loving parents.

Robert's memory will be cherished by his family and friends. His legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of his loved ones and through the innovations he contributed to the world of aerospace engineering.

A Celebration of Life will be held for his family and friends.
