Robert K Olson Sr.

 Robert Olson, 79, passed away peacefully on September 3, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas. He resided in Bolingbrook, Illinois, for the majority of his adult life, where he devoted himself to family, community, and service.

Robert was preceded in death by his beloved first wife, Karen Olson. He is Survived by his loving wife, Alicia Olson, who remained by his side throughout his later years.

He was a devoted father to his children Donna Olson Morrison (Jim Morrison), Robert K. Olson Jr. (Lisa Olson), and Dawn (Olson) Kalous (Doug Kalous).

Robert was a proud grandfather to Jesse Morrison, Jenna Olson, Jillian Olson, Journie Kalous, and Harmonie Kalous.

He was also a cherished stepfather to Athena Joyce, Seamus Joyce, Heather (Joyce) Whyte, Patrick Joyce, and step-grandfather to Chris, Norman, Caroline, John, Jack, Grant, and Emma.

Robert lived a full and meaningful life. A passionate advocate for his community, he served on numerous boards and committees in Will County, Illinois, and was instrumental in shaping Bolingbrook into the vibrant community it is today.

Robert was a coach and President of the Bolingbrook Trojans Pop Warner football team, leaving a lasting impression on the youth he mentored in this program. His leadership, dedication, and vision for a better tomorrow left a legacy that will continue to benefit generations to come.

Robert will be remembered for his deep love of family, unwavering commitment to his community, and the countless lives he touched with his kindness and wisdom.

A Celebration of Life and interment will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Maryhill Cemetery, in the Chapel, located at 8600 N. Milwaukee Ave., Niles, IL 60714. A luncheon will follow.
