Robert OSBORNE Obituary
Born Kamloops August 6, 1921. Robert from Langley, BC passed away peacefully on April 3, 2013 at the age of 91. He is survived by his four children Garry, James, Laurel and Richard; grandchildren Jaime, Fiona, Kristy, Michelle, Melonie, Nicholas, Riley and Adam, Dave, Derek, Clayton; great-grandchildren Myka, Cody and Finn. Bob was predeceased by his loving wife Jeanmarie. Bob grew up in Kamloops then moved to Saskatchewan to attend university. Bob served as a pilot in WWII and then began a teaching career and retired after 37 years. He was an avid contributer to charities and volunteer whose presence will be missed by all. There will be no service by Bob's request. Donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of BC.

Bob shared an office and lunch with me for my first 14 years of teaching in the Science Department at Langley Secondary School. I valued him as both mentor and friend, always caring and courteous; an absolute gentleman! He is still memorialized at Langley Secondary on their annual "Tie Day" when "Osborne's Law" is celebrated: "No Ties after Easter!"
