Robert Pack Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jul. 21 to Jul. 22, 2005.
Robert Alan Pack Robert Alan Pack, 25, moved on to his next adventure July 14, 2005 while attending college in Tallahassee, Florida. Alan was born June 17, 1980 to Robert Pack and Renae Giggey in Salt Lake City. Alan was a risk taker, always looking for a new adventure. He excelled at everything he attempted. He was a writer, artist, musician, athlete, comedian, and a best friend to all who knew him. Alan was a member of the National Honor Society and graduated from Ben Lomond High School in 1998 with several National merit awards and honors. He went on to the University of Utah studying in the pre-med program, after which he transferred to Florida State. He was working toward a double major in biology and chemistry. Alan's goal was to become a neurologist. He said that was the only thing that made sense to him. Alan will always be remembered for his quick wit, his sarcasm, hilarious stories with facial expressions to make anyone laugh, singing and playing his guitar, and his ability t o win every argument by using big words that no one else knew. Those who knew Alan best found him to be loving, loyal, and caring. He loved spending time with his family and friends. Alan always knew just how to get a reaction from people. Alan is survived by his mother; stepfather, Dave Medina; sisters, Lisa Kilpatrick (Jim), Marianne Hammaker, Trisha World, Sherry Hollman (Adam), brothers; Justin Black, Gary Pack (Susan), David Pack (Michelle), step-brothers; Jamie Medina, Brett Medina, grandparents; Elmer and Lorna Giggey, Reed and Peggy Black; many aunts, uncles, cousins, 21 nieces and nephews, and a plethora of friends. Alan was preceded in death by his father; stepmother, Shelly Pack; grandparents; Betty Dutton, Azalia Henderson, Fred Pack. Alan's departure has left a void in many of our lives. Let's not think of Alan as gone, but as continuing his adventures without any of the sorrows, pains, or limitations experienced in this world. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 23, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Leavitt's Mortuary, 836 36th Street, Ogden. Viewing will be Friday July 22, 2005 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Interment at Leavitt's Aultorest Memorial Park. Send condolences to the family at www.leavittsmortuary.com

I am very sorry about the loss of such an awesome person. I haven't seen Alan since high school but I can tell you he could out smart anyone I knew.. What an intelligent guy and such a good person. It has been awhile but I am sure when I see him again he will be welcoming me with sarcasm just like he did everyone. We will all think of him and hope his new journey will be that of what he wanted... and yes he was very well known for big words that noone else knew what they meant. That sure put a smile on my face. Have a good journey Alan and I am sure we will all see you again soon. Rest in Peace...
