Robert Parsons Obituary
ROBERT W. Age 90, of Venice, Florida, formerly of Royal Oak, died May 28, 2016. He was born June 14, 1925 in Flint to Walter and Marguerette Parsons. Mr. Parsons graduated from Flint Northern High School and served in the Marine Corps. He was a detective with the Royal Oak Police Department for many years until retiring in 1977. Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Barbara (Hoerauf); children, Cynthia Parsons of Troy, Monica (James) Demres of Rochester Hills and Lydia (Dennis) Quinn of Berkley; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Lillian Slocum, James Parsons and Charles Parsons. Visitation Thursday 11 a.m. until service at 1 p.m. at the Kinsey-Garrett Funeral Home, 420 S. Lafayette, Royal Oak. Burial with military honors, Oakview Cemetery. Memorial contributions suggested to the Parkinson Foundation.
