Feb 19, 2024: I first met Bob Peacock in (mid-1980s) at a Business Education conference. We connected immediately and were on the "same page" on so many emerging programs. He and my publisher, McGraw-Hill, arranged for me to present workshops on "Consumer Education" to BC Bus Educ teachers. I just learned today of his passing and send my belated condolences to his family and friends. I am forever grateful to Bob for his friendship (we communicated into the 1990s) and support, especially recommending to the BC Ministry the province-wide purchase of my textbook (Business Today: An Introduction). Sincerely, John D. Kwekkeboom (Ontario).

My first contact with Bob was on the Province complaint desk in the mid 50's, then Doug Tyson got us together again at the Quadra Riding Office of Elections Canada for the 97 Federal election, he as ARO (Assistant Returning Officer), I as AC (Automation Coordinator), We repeated this in the 2004 and 2006 elections. Bob was a great inspiration and pleasure to work with at all times. He was always a fount of BC history and geography knowledge, easy to see how he won the newspaper trivia contest. Bob, you were greatly appreciated and will be truly missed by all your election colleagues.

I send my deepest sympathy to all Bob´s family. I worked with him at the Vancouver School Board however I knew both Bob and Sid before we went to school. Bob was a tireless and devoted educator, one who obviously carried his committment to be of service to others long after his retirement. I am so sorry not to be in Vancouver as I will miss honouring his memory at the service.

Sincerely,

Maureen Tomsich
