I worked with Bob when I worked at UA and we established a UA/Metro Shuttle Service for about 10 years. I considered Bob a friend and I had great respect for his abilities and knowledge. He will be sorely missed in the Akron/Summit County area for all that he accomplished at Metro.

May Bob now rest in peace in God's paradise.

Virg & family, so sorry to hear about your Dad. My heart & prayers go out to all of you during this time. Your Dad was a one of a kind, good, sincere person. The last time I saw him (when I cleaned the house),he was home & we had a nice conversation. He will be missed by many.

Dad, I miss you so much. I am struck by shock every minute because you were taken from us too soon. The unbearable pain softens at the thought of you teeing off at a beautiful beach front golf course with a cold cocktail and Big Al playing in the background. That swing won't hurt anymore daddy. I know you are keeping an eye on us and as I promised I will always keep this family safe. I love you!!

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I met Bob at metro, funny man and very fair and honest. He will be missed. God bless the family.

Thoughts and prayers with Bob's family.

My thoughts and prayers are with Bob's family, friends and co-workers. Bob was a genuinely good person who cared deeply for the community he served. His advocacy for public transit is clearly reflected through the services and programs that Akron Metro implemented under Bob's leadership. He will be missed but he will live on in our memories.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Bob's family. He was such a great person and advocate of public transit. We, the members of the METRO Board of Trustees will miss his quiet wisdom and council. Thank you for loaning him to us for all too short a time. May you find some comfort in knowing how loved and respected he was by so very many.

To Bob's Family, we were very sorry to hear of Bob's passing. We have all of you in our prayers.My wife (Angie) and I worked with Bob at Metro as bus drivers for many years. We were close personal friends, and all the fun and good times we shared will always be remembered. May he rest in peace. God Bless!

To Bob's family, I am so sorry for your loss. Losing such a great guy is so hard and I hope you can find some peace in the days ahead. Personally, I can't imagine work without Bob here, cheering us on. He was a great boss, a dear friend and an all round good guy. Good bye bossman, you earned your rest and fought the fight for sure. To Bob's family, there are no words to ease your sorrow at this time, but it my prayer that your wonderful memories of such a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend will help to sustain you.
