Robert W Posey, Jr.

BUCYRUS - Robert W. Posey, Jr., 73, passed away peacefully on July 10th, 2023, at the James Cancer Hospital at The Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Bob was born January 23rd, 1950, in Bucyrus to the late Robert W. Posey, Sr., and Mary (Zahara) Posey. He graduated from Bucyrus High School in 1968. Bob was employed by the Ohio Department of Transportation for 30 years, retiring in 2005. Bob loved music and played keyboard in several bands, including the Flower Conspiracy, Zeke, and the Screaming Yellow Zonkers. Bob loved riding his motorcycle on the open road in his youth. In his golden years, he enjoyed a good round of golf and played in the Moose League. He was a lifelong fan of the Cleveland Guardians, the Cleveland Browns, and The Ohio State University Buckeyes. Bob was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, VFW 1078, Amvets Post 27, and the Moose Lodge.

Bob married Rebecca A. Bricely, the love of his life, on April 26th, 1980. They had two sons, Michael A. and Robert W III. He was preceded in death by his son, Michael; his parents; his sisters, Elaine; and Stephanie; five brothers-in-law; and three nephews.

Bob is survived by his wife of 43 years, Becky; his son, Rob (Shawna)Posey; six grandchildren, Malia, Mason, Drew, Reese, Marcus, and Ivan, and his sister Michele (Brian)Chase; numerous nieces and nephews, and his faithful companion, Moody.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church at a later time.
