On Monday, February 6th, 2023, Robert Posey of Kennewick, WA passed away unexpectedly at the age of 50. His family, loved ones, and his two kids were completely unprepared and are devastated by the sudden and far too soon loss of such a beautiful soul.
Bobby was born on January 14th, 1973, in Hollywood, Florida to parents Eileen and Jerry Posey. Born on Super Bowl Sunday, Bob was named after Jake Scott and Bob Griese when the 1972-73 Dolphins went undefeated and won Super Bowl VII. You could say he was born a Dolphins fan.
Robert attended and graduated from Kennewick High School, where he met so many of his friends. He played baseball and football where he would later on go to continue both at Eastern Oregon University. He was studying physical education, although he never graduated with his degree.
In 2001, He brought his beautiful baby girl into his life. He was blessed by his daughter, Cheyanne Posey. At this time he was working as a painter, which he continued to do most of his life. In 2006, he had the joy of bringing his son, Blayke Posey into his life and they were inseparable.
Anyone who knew Bob knew how much he loved his children. And if you didn't know his kids, he would make sure you did. He raised them, loved them, and tried to be the best father he could be. He coached his daughter's softball teams, and his son's baseball and football teams.
He was a man of many talents, who could literally do almost anything if you asked him. He could draw, paint, put together (and take apart) so many things. He had a very creative mind. He was never serious, and you would always see him with a smile on his face. He was passionate about everything he did and had no problem doing things his way. He loved making others happy and lending a helping hand no matter the situation. He had a big heart and was so full of life.
Robert was preceded in death by his father, Jerry Posey, and is survived by his mother, Eileen Posey, brothers Kevin Posey (Anne, Cameron & Chase Posey), Jerry Posey Jr., Ronny Posey (Nikki Posey), David Posey, daughter Cheyanne Posey, son Blayke Posey and so many amazing friends that Bobby made throughout the years. He was loved by so many and will be missed deeply.
Come help celebrate the life of our beautiful angel, Robert Posey. His graveside service will be held at 1 PM on Wednesday, February 15th, at Mueller's funeral home in Kennewick, WA.
