Robert Powers

Robert Powers, 78, of Davenport, died Friday, September 9, 2005, at the Kahl Home, Davenport. Memorial services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, September 12, at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Family will receive friends from 1:30 until the service at the mortuary. Inurnment will be at a later date in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.
Robert was born January 31, 1927, in Davenport, the son of Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Sparrow) Powers. He was a self-employed barber in Rock Island for many years.
Those left to honor his memory include daughter, Taralyn Powers, Columbus, Ohio; granddaughter, Damian, and husband, Patrick Crabtree, and their children, Ethan, Declan, and Tristan Riley, all of Columbus; brother, Jack Powers, Durant, Iowa; sister, Bernice Dugan, Davenport; 17 nieces and nephews; and a special cousin, Roseanne.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Betty, in 1992, brother, Maurice, and a sister, Trudy Henning.
