Bob was my classmate in New Castle High School, Indiana, a member of the Class of '46. We shared several classes and he was always upbeat and friendly. He was a great guy to know. I'm glad he was so well liked at the Univ. of Arizona. Farewell old friend, you made us proud.

Bob was one of a kind. And, kind certainly fits his nature. He made commencement a wonderful experience rather than a drudge. The University community is very grateful for his presence and creativity in so many important events.
Thank you, Bob.

Goodbye Uncle Bob. You have always been an important light in our lives. I will miss the cards. I will miss your gentle ways. I will miss your Indiana humor!
Next time I am on the UA campus I know I will see you wheeling around in one of those golf carts - if only in spirit.
Maybe they should name one after you.

God bless you, Bob Preble! Just thinking of you brings a smile to my face - you wouldn't want it any other way - I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. My memories of you include my Mom, Doris Carey, when you worked together at Physical Resources, and after that when I would see you around Tucson. You always brought positive thoughts and a big smile to any conversation. We will carry you and your positive impact on us in our hearts.

So very sorry. Shirley and I worked with Bob for years on Commencement. It took so much organization but he always, always made it work and made it fun. Would only see him as Commencement approached twice a year but he was friendly and affable. So very capable.

I worked with Bob at the Sarver Heart Center. He was one of those rare people who have a gift when it comes to connecting with others. He was warm and cheerful and always made a point to know everyone personally. Bob taught me - and a lot of others - about giving back and being selfless. I'll miss him.

We will all miss you Mr. Preb - I loved every minute working and just chatting with you. You always had encouraging words of kindness whenever and wherever we met. God is very lucky to have such a wonderful work on art in you. We need many many more of folks just like you - this world would be a much better place if there were. Love always - a grateful friend - Deb Evano

My condolences go out to Mr. Preble's family. His kindness will never be forgotten. I will always remember the great big smile he wore, especially when bringing donuts to all the shops at what is now, Facilities Management. I have always tried to carry his sense of humbleness; The greatest person I ever met who always went out of his way to help others. Heaven's Angels will be singing with great joy! God bless Your Family, and may the love and memories comfort your soul.

I remember Bob as one of the most gracious and respected individuals I have known. Always caring, he embraced life and wanted to be in the middle of it, not on the outside looking in.
Bob, I am thankful your spirit of volunteering brought you to the UA Sarver Heart Center so we were able to make your friendship there. My sincere condolences to the Preble family. Deb Young

Mr. Preble was one of the first people I worked with at the UA in the 1980s. He was the consummate professional and always a positive role model for everyone he met. My UA career would not have been the same without his influence. A great man that will be greatly missed! My sincere condolences to Kathy and the family.

What a great loss for so many of us. Bob was a true gentleman and consummate professional in every sense of the word. He did his best to mentor me "back in the day" when we both worked for was was then the UA's Physical Resources division. He was always kind and patient in pointing me in the right direction. Were it not for Bob I doubt many of the major special events at the UA during that era would have ever been pulled off including many commencement ceremonies and the annual Spring Fling when it was on the campus proper. My sincere condolences to Katherine and family and may you find comfort in your cherished memories.
