Robert Price Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Nov. 30, 2023.
Robert Lewis "Bob" Price has gone to be with the lord after a courageous 10-month battle with glioblastoma at age 51. He passed peacefully on November 3rd at Riverstone Hospice House in Billings, MT surrounded by his loved ones.

Bob's life began on November 17th, 1971 in Tacoma, Washington. Bob's childhood days were spent in the small town of Carbonado, WA near many of his family members. From a young age, he loved the outdoors and he spent a lot of his time running around town and playing in the woods with his brothers and cousins. The oldest of four boys, he always felt a special responsibility to look out for his brothers and loved to help them learn his favorite sport, wrestling.

Sports were a huge part of Bob's life growing up. Bob started wrestling at age 6 and was an accomplished wrestler throughout high school. After graduating, he went on to coach the sport at White River High School and helped lead the team to the State AA Championship in 1995. Through his involvement in wrestling, he made friendships he cherished his whole life.

On September 20th, 1997, Bob married Angie Dalisky. They welcomed their first daughter Grace in 2000, Olivia in 2001, and son Jack in 2004. Both Bob and Angie shared the values of family and compassion and instilled those beliefs in their children. Bob took great pride in being a father and in working hard to provide his family with everything they needed.

In 2012, the Price family moved from Washington to Billings, MT for Bob to further his career as the Owner-Operator of a heavy civil construction company. In his more than 30 years of work in construction, Bob made many forever friendships. He cared deeply about his employees as people and supported and encouraged them in any way he could; he was not just a boss, but a friend to all who worked for him.

Outside of work, Montana gave Bob more opportunities to pursue the hobbies that brought him joy. He had a passion for hunting, especially archery, and fell in love with the Missouri Breaks area in Eastern Montana. In his free time, he loved to get out in that area as much as possible, whether he was hunting, hiking, or looking for shed horns.

Bob will forever be remembered by his wife, Angie Price; his beloved children, Grace, Olivia, and Jack Price; siblings Brad (Sarah), Bernie (Tammy), and Brian; step-father Marvin Hild and mother Alberta Hild.

He was preceded in death by his father, Norman "Bud" Price; his grandmother, Della Barber; uncle, Rich Morgan.

A celebration of Bob's life is being planned for the spring/summer in Washington State. Details will be shared at a later date.

In honor of Bob's memory, donations can be made to Riverstone Health Foundation at 123 South 27th Street, Billings, MT 59101, or made online at riverstonehealth.org. In the last four months of Bob's life, Bob received exceptional care and compassion from the nurses and staff at Riverstone Hospice. Their service was a true gift to Bob and his family.

Bob - an amazingly loyal friend - someone to always depend on. I have so many great memories of growing up in Carbonado, playing softball, playing poker, hunting mule deer in Colorado, and power pinochle. You were the facilitator of a blind date that eventually became my wife - I owe my family to you!

I think of you frequently, and felt your presence this past November every day in Colorado, hunting in our old spots. You are missed, but are in my thoughts regularly. RIP RLP!

Bob was such a great, caring, honest friend to many. His little laugh always made me giggle too.

I have known Bob since he was a little kid. What a special, caring, good friend he was to everyone. He was a tough kid... I´m grateful I knew him.

I will always remember that Bob was a genuine friend. I'm so glad to have known him! We spent a lot of time together in our teen years, particularly on the wrestling mat. We share a mutual trust in Jesus Christ so I will be seeing Bob again - forever.
