Sorry its late Hi beautiful people my name is Phi Davis my wife Liverana and my kids Rebecca and William we just found out that Robert had passed away October 25, 2018. I have known Robert for over 37 years. I have lived in Rome since February 1996. I am a city boy. I would come and visit Robert every 2 years. And in 2001 Rebecca was 2 years old after that it was 5 years and then every 4 years.
When we came from Rome to the city we would stop at Roberts house before we went to our hotel. And he saw the kids when they were small and when they were big. He had that big Smile.
Robert loved the outdoors like Kellys Cove, China Beach especially the Sunsets. Golden Gate Park especially Marx meadows when there were concerts. He was very helpful to his friends I remember he needed help
to paint I told him I am not a painter but he taught me very well and when I painted my house in Rome the things I learned from Robert helped me. My wife Liverana was amazed how professional it was and I told her my friend Robert the cool hippie taught me. I remember the garden what it looks like in the beginning and how he transformed the garden to look so beautiful with flowers Roses, daffodils, Dahlias, and other green plants which were so tall between the daffodils. Sitting in the big Chair having a cold one and burning one watching the 49ers, NCAA college basketball tournament, NBA, and baseball. Playing basketball on 25th Ave and playing softball with a cold one on second base nobody hit the cold one. Also, I remember Robert and I coach a womens basketball team at Irelands 32 for 2 years it was exciting and fun. Robert was always right up front and honest didnt matter the discussion or how heated it got. Robert, you were a true friend there is so many stories that I have I can write a book. The memories that I had with you and your other friends and your family we will treasure them forever will miss you, my brother.

Robert will be missed by so many friends
he made over the years and along the roads
he traveled. I met him in Colorado in 1973 and began a friendship that lasted to the end.
I'll miss his calls during football season talking about his 49ers and giving me grief about my Seahawks.
I visited him twice in SF during his battle with cancer and he amazed me with his positive energy and will to survive.
Goodbye Friend

Bob was part of a group of people who came to Tonasket in 1972 to pick apples. He was a fun-loving, kind man. I remember him and his girlfriend named Terry laughing and having fun swimming in the river. Also, at his birthday party she made a cake and presented it to him. I think everyone from that time period remembers his tennis shoes. When facing Bob the toe on the left shoe said "HI" and the other shoe said "GH".

I remember Bob from our days in Tonasket in 1972. He was part of a group of people from California who came to pick apples. He was a fun loving, kind man. He had a girlfriend named Terry and I remember them playing in the river and at his birthday party she made a cake and presented it to him. I think everyone from that time remembers his tennis shoes. When facing Bob the toe of the left shoe said "HI" and the toe of the other shoe said "GH". I would love to see some of his dahlia photos posted.
