Robert J. Ransford, Jr. of Crystal Lake A memorial mass for Robert J. Ransford, Jr., 65, will begin at 10 a.m. Thursday, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Crystal Lake. A time of fellowship will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of mass. Born Aug. 25, 1941 in Philadelphia, Penn., the son of Robert J. and Lorraine T. (nee McDonald) Ransford and passed away on Saturday Sept. 9, 2006 at his home. Robert married Janice Bouchard in Winstead, CT on November 28, 1968. He worked for Bohler Uddeholm from 1975-1996 and then Thyssen Steel from 1997 until he retired in 2004. He is a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. He is survived by his wife, Janice of Crystal Lake; daughter, Robin Seibold of Barkhamsted, CT; sons, Richard Ransford of Colebrook, CT and Jamie (Natalia) Ransford of Crystal Lake; grandchildren, Ryan and Joshua Seibold, Nicole, Brittany, Cameron, Devin and Jacob Ransford.
