I was a brand new nurse in 1998 at OVMC on the medical surgical floor and when Dr. Reed would come to round on his patients he would pick me to go with him most of the time and I learned so very much from this doctor, not just the wound care and taking care of a surgical patient but also I got to see a physician interact in the most compassionate way with his patients after a major set back in their lives. Dr. Reed you will be sorely missed. I know you see the nurse that I have become all these years later thanks to all that you taught me!

Oh Dr. Reed , you were so wonderful, skilled and kind. You made learning so much fun. You always kept it simple and real. I remember working with you at RMH and I so enjoyed making rounds with you. I loved reading your progress notes. You were always about the patient and profession. You cared! Your ego never had to be fed. Superman you were my hero. God speed Dr. Reed. Joette Hogan Zeigler RN
