Wow - where have the years gone -- he was a wonderful individual.

Dear Nellie & Family:
Bobby Rivera was one in a million -- I so enjoyed his stories, charm and warmth over the years. I got to know Bob through the Guilderland Democratic Committee when he was a Committeeman. He had great pride in being a Democrat - the photos of him with Carl McCall /Neil Breslin were a reminder of his commitment to his party. The last time I saw you folks was at NYOH -- he was so upbeat and positive.

Now, all of you have the years of wonderful memories -- may they give you
peace.

Dear Nellie and family, please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of your husband. When I found out, the first thing I remembered was that New Year's Eve when you and Roberto were at Carmine's and I came in with my friends and shared that moment. Great conversation with friends. God bless.

Dear Nellie, please accept our most heartfelt sympathies for your loss. Words seem inadequate to express the sadness Kelly and I feel. Although no words can really help to ease the loss of our dearest friend Bobby, we will always cherish the memories of the "Good Times" with him.

My condolences to the Rivera family. Bobby brought joy and laughter to everyone around him. When everyone was serious, leave it to Bobby to break out in a Salsa tune and tell those around him to relax and live life!!! It was a pleasure working with him throughout my early years with the State and he will be missed!

The Manhattan College alumni community shares the grief, and is now praying for our fellow alumni and the family at this time. The Alumni Office has been informed. As well as the Jasper Jottings community that I personally can reach. We are all a little poorer now. "No man is an island, entire of itself ... any man's death diminishes me". We are sorry for your loss.
