Robert (Robb) Silva

Robert J. "Robb" Silva passed away on February 10, 2025, in Brookline, Massachusetts, at the age of 63 after a year-long battle with lymphoma. He was born on October 2, 1961, in Concord, Massachusetts, to Robert J. Silva Sr. and Nancy (Pittorino) Silva.

Robb graduated from Acton-Boxborough Regional High School in 1979, where he was actively involved in the theater and drama club. He went on to earn a degree in Economics from Boston University in 1984, a place he cherished throughout his life. His passion for tennis led him to compete as a Division I player for Boston University. Later, he returned as an assistant coach for the university's tennis team alongside his close friend Jeremy Taylor.

Tennis remained a central part of Robb's life. He played in various Greater Boston leagues and worked as a Tennis Pro at Colonial Tennis Club and Longfellow Tennis Club. Most recently, he was a member of Longwood Cricket Club in Brookline and The Badminton and Tennis Club of Boston.

Beyond tennis, Robb had a deep appreciation for natural stone and became a top sales representative at Gerrity Stone, where he earned the nickname "Rock Star." He later transitioned into real estate, excelling at William Raveis Agency and forming lasting friendships with colleagues and clients alike.

Robb's life was enriched by his family and friends. In the 2000s, he played a significant role in helping his friend Emily raise her two daughters, Jill and Maddie, who lovingly considered him their father. He was also part of a large and supportive Italian family, known for his humor, musical talent, and love of entertaining.

He is survived by his mother, Nancy; his devoted brother, Craig; and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A celebration of Robb's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 22, at Wedgewood Pines Country Club, 215 Harvard Road, Stow, MA.
