Robert Clarence Rotter

I made my usual visit while doing Wreaths Across America in December, and the removals in January. I don't know if I ever mentioned this, but my Son, John V, who'd known Bob, met Bob's Son, who was with the Sterling Heights Fire Departmentg, while my Son is the Fire Marshal at the Sterling Heights Assembly Plant.

I continue to visit Bob when at GLNC for Wreaths Across America, or the headstone cleanings. You can see from my previous posts our connection, as well as the connection between our sons.

I paid my respects to Bob at Wreaths Across America at the 2021 wreath laying.I will also ensure his headstone is cleaned next on April 30. Bob is in the same section as my late wife, and several others I know.

I stop at Bob's site every time I'm at GLNC. He is in the same section as my late wife, along with several others I know. I place a ceremonial wreath at the Wreaths Across America ceremonies and clean headstones
when they are done. He always gets a salute, and a"Rest in Peace, Sailor''.'

I worked with Bob at Friden, Inc and Singer Business machines in the 60s. He was a really good, fun guy to be around. He and Barbara were a great looking couple. As a Veteran, whose wife is interred at GrtLksNatlCem, I do headstone cleanings twice a year, along with Wreaths Across America, as well Final Honors for Veterans being interred there. Bob is in the same section, # 14, as my wife. I pay my respects to him every time I'm there. My son, John V., knows Bob's son thru the StHts FD. John Williams, Southfield.

I worked with Bob at Friden, Inc/Singer Business Machines in the 60s-70s. Bob was a fun guy; great sense of humor. Like me, a Navy Veteran. He and Barbara were a great looking couple. I saw him a couple of times after he left for the Warren F/D full time. My son, John V. met Bob's son, Sterling Heights F/D thru John's position at work at Chrysler Sterling Stamping. My wife, Sandra (''Sam'') is in the same section at Great Lakes National Cemetery. I happened to see his temporary marker as I was leaving a headstone cleaning event plast year. I was very sorry to hear about his passing, in that manner. I make it a point to may to respects to Bob when I'm at GLNC. Next will be another headstone cleaning next month.

Please accept my sincere sympathy and condolences on Bob's passing. I worked with Bob, at Friden, Inc in the 1960s. He went to the Warren Fire Department, but continued to work part time at Friden. He was a fun guy !! I remember when he and Barabara were married. They were a GREAT !! looking couple. I was at GrtLksNat'lCem over the weekend, helping clean headstones. I saw his temporary marker in the same section as that of my late wife. I followed through and learned of his passing. I am deeply saddened by the loss of Uncle Bob. I have many fond memories of him when I was a young girl. I send my deepest sympathy to you Aunt Barbara and Todd, Curt and Noelle.
