Hard to believe you left us 21 years ago today. You have been on my mind all day. 19 years of great memories. You were a good Dad - you instilled work ethics, you gave love the only way a man of your generation knew how - by always being there and being supportive. You were a good and loyal friend. Always supportive... when I wanted to travel (even when we didn't have a roof) ' have fun just don't ask me to go, I didn't lose anything outside of Texas' ; when Barbara called about the credit card 'episode' your answer was immediate. We got the money, paid Barbara and Roy had to work it off at the plant; when Steve started UT we gave him my car then financed a car for me to drive. I can't imagine how much money I spent on stamps (writing letters) and travel tracing our lineage. Just hundreds of images come to mind across the years. You added quality to the lives of everyone you touched. I am so blessed that we remained friends.

June 4, 2004 - hard to believe it has 20 years since you left. So much has happened since then... in all our lives. With all the change we, all of us, think of you often and of the impact you had on so many lives. Rest well my friend. Jeani

2023... 19 years has really rushed past. We think about you all the time and relive so many good times. There is no doubt you were the best of the best when it came to ready mix. The proof is in the upper level of the UT football stadium; many of the buildings on the UT campus; IH 35 as it goes through downtown Austin; hundreds of the homes in Austin set on foundations you poured; the Cement Mill in Buda.. you created it and built it. The list of your accomplishments in the construction industry are endless. You were the Consumat professional; the loyal friend and employee; the caring family member.
I know you are in a great place watching over everyone.

Bob, WOW 18 years have passed so quickly... how many memories to add to all the ones you were here to share. Roy found his soul mate and life love, Cathy .. you would really like her - perfect match for Roy. Steve found the woman of his life - again the perfect match for Steve.... you would be so happy for both of them. We lost John Dec 29th 2020. I was so glad the two of you always remained good friends. Think of you often.... Jeani

Uncle Bob.........you're the best!!! I will never forget all the great happy hours, the long heartfelt talks, the laughs, the Dancin', the friendship, the love. While it may have been awhile since we last talked, you know I loved you. Forever, you will always be MY UNCLE and my friend! Save me a dance when I see you again!!!

Bob, You truly did do things your way. You were able to say goodbye to everyone and make your peace with life before you left for a wonderful, eternal resting place. How wonderful of you to give your loved ones the gift of knowing you would want them to move on with their lives while also cherishing the memories of good times. We know how angry it would have made you if we mourned so.. we will always celebrate your life and the portions of it you shared with each of us. Your song was 'Please Release Me' - with God's help, and by your instruction, we have. God Bless your trip home.

Bob

I sure am going to miss the visits you would make every few weeks to our house. I enjoyed drinking coffee and just talking with you for hours. You treated me as a daughter from the first time I met you, you also treated Jeremy and Matthew as your natural grandson's from the first time you met them, just for that I loved you very much. We never got around to planting the flowers around the tree like we discussed..I will be thinking of you when I do. You are the best father in law a girl could ask for. I love you and you will be truly missed.

Robert -

I know you're in a wonderful place now and enjoying yourself.

You told me many times that when you died you wanted "Please Release Me" to be played and everyone to have a good time. Roy just told me this was done.

I always valued your friendship and the many years that we were close. We had some wonderful times that I will never forget.

Your friend,

Dad,

I know now that you are are in a much better place. For years and years you were just "dad" but for the past few years you became so much more. Thank you for all of lifes lessons. You were teaching all the way to the end. My father, my friend, my teacher, you are so, so missed. I love you.
