July 2, 2017 – Calgary, Alberta
Bob, beloved husband of Darlene May Schantz (nee Brooks) of Calgary, AB, passed away on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at the age of 78 years. Bob leaves behind to mourn his passing his wife Darlene May Schantz; children, Barbara (David) Leeflang and Tracy Conway-Brown; grandchildren, Erica Leeflang, Nadia Leeflang, Brett Conway- Brown, Dylan Conway-Brown; siblings, Sherwood Schantz, Elwood Schantz, Chris Mayson, Fronie McGinn, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Bob was predeceased by his sisters, Beatrice Haliwyz and Sylvia Pilon and brothers, Sterling Schantz and Tony Schantz. Family would like to express their deep gratitude to the staff at Rockyview Hospital, Unit 71 and the staff at AgeCare Mindapore. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive S.W. Calgary, AB) on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow at funeral home. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. If friends or family so desire donations may be made to the Calgary Alzheimer Society. In living memory of Bob Schantz, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
