Just a few of the old gang left, John Fleming, Dean Shade, and me , and I'm on the banana peel, health-wise. Butch, Steve Schmermund, and Ray Miller have gone on to the BSA troop 60 in the afterlife. Godspeed, old friend!

Butch was such an amazing man. He was a great neighbor, always helping out when needed. We love all of you - I hope he has some good conversations in Heaven with his old neighbors Gerrit and Linda. Prayers for all of you for peace, I know these times are not easy.

My condolences to the Shilt family. Butch will be missed so much, by so many. A great guy that never knew a stranger. A man that exuded love for his family. A man I absolutely admired, so much! I will always cherish my memories with Butch. My thoughts and prayers are with you Marilyn, Matt, Liz, Alex...and your families. May the Lord and his word comfort you all.

Butch, you were always a great person, in school and after. I will never forget how you beat me in that foot race for quarterback but only by 5 foot,God Bless old friend.

Going into the back yard to mow, grill out or play with the kids will never be the same. Not hearing hey young man from across the creek and a quick talk or sometimes longer talk will be missed by me!. We was so blessed to have Butch as a rear neighbor for the 3 years we lived here. He welcomed us and treated us like family since our first day.
