Robert L. SHRADER

Your clear, concise information will be forwarded into the future as I begin to pass the basic knowledge from my copy of your fourth edition of "electronic communication" to my ten-year-old grandson. Thank you for the help.

Robert Shrader passed eleven years ago, but I wanted to leave a memory. This man greatly touched my life in a way no one else has. When I went to the Don Martin School of Broadcasting in Hollywood, a long-standing producer of talent in the field, one of their requirements for completing the program was obtaining a First Class FCC license. I had always wanted one but I was scared to death, even though DMS had one of the best courses in the country, 4 months in length. The textbook they used was Electronic Communication. Well, I devoured the book & studied many hours daily & got the license. I then used the knowledge as a basis to get my amateur license. I began as a neophyte & accomplished 2 things I'd always wanted to because of Mr Shrader. I never met the man, but I wish to thank him here. Godspeed Robert L Shrader.

Alistair and I really enjoyed meeting Bob and
Dot and sharing our interest in the old railroad line from Marin to the Russian River. our sympathy to the family. What a nice man he was.
