My deepest sympathy and condolences to all the family. I knew Robert as "Uncle Bob" as a child in Bethlehem. Our families were neighbors in the 1960s. My family moved when I was still young. However we tried to keep in-touch for the next couple decades. To this day, I still remember "Uncle Bob", his smile, his outgoing good nature, and his kindness. R.I.P.

Cid, Catherine and family,
What a blessing it was to spend time with you all last May at Ellen's wedding. Families are so important and yet time seems to separate us unduly. I was sadden to receive the news of Bob's passing and I wanted to, in some small way, send my prayers and blessings to you. Love, Jeffrey, Jay and Warren

...i just found out about Bob's passing today...I was fortunate enough to be Bob's dentist...I am truly saddened by this...people of character like Bob seem to be in short order...my practice is structured so I am able to spend time with people...Bob was a man of adventure and I loved to hear of his fascinating travels sailing, running, traveling the world...few people are as passionate and caring about people and the world around him as Bob was...I will miss Bob...my condolences to the Spillman family...Sincerely,Stuart D. To all those people Robert touched, including myself, we've lost a friend, mentor and a person to emulate. Rest in peace Robert.

My sincere sympathy to Cid and the family. I am so honored to have worked with Bob, who was a true gentleman, gifted architect, and all around wonderful human being. He fostered a culture of thoughtfulness, respect, and humor at the firm that I've never forgotten and will always seek to create wherever my career takes me.

My condolences to Bob's family on the passing of a "truly great" human being.
I had the pleasure of serving on several boards with Bob, especially LVIP. He was not only one of the top architects in his profession, he was also a major architect in the economic development of the Lehigh Valley as we know it today. His efforts for preservation of open spaces will be his legacy for generations to come.
