I was a little girl but I remember when he made house calls as I rested on our family sofa. I have nothing but good memories. I know he helped our entire family as he us mentuined in my brother's book Still In The Game on living (successfully) for decades w type 1 diabetes. So glad to know Dr. Straub had a long life!

Worked with Bob for 1 year back in 1982. He was easygoing, instructive, and had a great sense of humor. Took me fishing... caught sun fish and carp. He made me a fish dinner and offered me last piece of fish.... turned out to be the carp!!! It was delicious. Bob and his sons got a big laugh out of it... so did I. A great memory from a great man! One of the things I remember most about Uncle Bob were his amazing bear hugs. He always made you feel welcome and loved, no matter how long it had been since you'd last seen him.

When I was a kid, he gave me a telescoping magnet that looked like a pen. Now my kids love playing with it, and whenever I see it, I think of him:) My heartfelt condolences to the entire family. I know you will miss him!

Very sorry to hear of the loss of your Father! He was a blessing and asset to GSBC, and to anyone who met him. Though a loss here on earth, I'm sure my Grandfather (Richard Kulchar) is happy to see him in heaven. May God's peace and comfort be with your family through this difficult time.
