Robert F. "Bob" Strobo

Robert (Bob) F. Strobo, age 66, of Louisville, Kentucky, passed away on Friday, December 14, 2018. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Mary, his father, Joseph, and his son, Keith. He is survived by his wife Lucy; his children, Robert (Robyn, children Ella and Violet), Randy (Emily, children Frank and Reid), Kevin (Ashley, children Kingston and Abrayah), and Lindsey (Christopher, children Leia and Otis); his sister Sharon; his brother Joey; extended family; and friends far and wide. Bob was born on January 16, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. He graduated from Mendel Catholic Prep School in 1970. Shortly after high school, he entered the Army Reserves and served as a field wireman after being called for active duty. He had a lifetime career in computer technology, most recently employed at Republic Bank & Trust Company. Bob was happily married to Lucy Strobo (Dicke) for 45 years. Together they had five children and eight grandchildren. He was a proud father and grandfather who never missed a game or birthday party. Bob was always there to help his children with their latest home improvement project, give rides to the airport, or hand out candy and presents to his grandchildren. He spent all his free time doing projects around the house with Lucy, watching Bears football, and with his grandchildren. Up to the date of his death, Bob was hardworking and dedicated to his family. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 2:00pm to 8:00pm at the Ratterman Funeral Home located at 12900 Shelbyville Road, Louisville, KY 40243.
