We will miss Bob, he was a friend, hunting buddy and a coffee lover. Bob and Peggy were good friends during some hard times and we always had time to go to dinner, or just set and talk. RIP Bob I'll take you hunting in memories my friend

On behalf of the United States Submarine Veterans (USSVI), we offer our most sincere condolences and sympathy to his wife Peggy, children Anna “Pepper”(Jim), Robert, Ali (Mike) and Joe, and to all of Bob's family and friends in this time of sorrow and grief. I pray that God will bless you with peace, comfort, and the healing of your broken hearts. We are especially thankful for Bob's service to our country in the U.S. Submarine Service. To our “Brother of the Dolphin” we say … "Sailor, rest your oar. We have the watch. May you rest in peace and may God bless your loved ones who remain. Thank you for your service to our country."
So, heavenly Father add his name to the roll
Of our departed shipmates still on patrol.
Let them know that we who survive
Will always keep their memories alive.
Bless those who serve beneath the deep,
Through lonely hours their vigil keep.
May peace their mission ever be!
Protect each one, we ask of Thee.
Bless those at home who wait and pray
For their return by night and day.

I remember Bob fondly and enjoyed visiting with him when he came to Idaho to visit family. He would stop by and wander up the driveway and we would just sit and talk. The Class of '56 will miss him. My condolences to you, his family. Glad you opted to override his final wishes as to the bullets. His new journey will be much better served in your company where you can keep an eye on him and keep him out of trouble.
