Robert Lee "Rob" Thomas Jr

Robert Lee "Rob" Thomas Jr, aged 60, passed away on June 18, 2024, in Snellville, GA. Born on May 7, 1964, in Charleston, WV, Rob was known for his loving, generous, and gentle demeanor. A cherished husband, father, and son, he is survived by his wife, Sonya Thomas; son, Robert Thomas III; sister, Carrie Hays; sister, Tonia Thomas; and father, Robert Thomas Sr. He was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Hostetter, and stepfather, Philip Hostetter.

Rob had a lifelong passion for baseball and NASCAR, which he shared with his family and friends. He dedicated many years to coaching, influencing and mentoring young athletes with patience and kindness. His love for his cooking was also a significant part of his life, and often seen enjoying time outdoors with his canine companions.

A memorial gathering to celebrate Rob's life will be held on Saturday, June 29 at 2 PM at Gracepointe Church, located at 2900 Rosebud Rd, Loganville, GA 30052.
